We have all been enjoying hearty meals and have been having good fun working on our tans, but we now (with eager anticipation) prepare for more wind heading our way, according to the grib files. Rob managed to do a good job repairing the spinnaker pole, and we are also keen to see how well it works.

While Tyla was catching up on sleep in the afternoon, some of the crew members decided to have a good laugh by drawing on her feet, which stuck out of her bunk into the galley! She laughed with them as she silently planned her revenge, and the crew may come to rue the day an air-horn was even brought on board the JML Rotary Scout.

During the evening, a buoy was spotted nearby, and a mock-man overboard drill was hastily carried out. The small buoy was inhabited by barnacles and small crabs, and is new addition to our deck-paraphernalia.

Today marks our one-week anniversary on the water, and to celebrate we had scrambled eggs on toast for breakfast, and we made some lekker rolls for lunch. A recipe for mango-bread is currently also being formulated. We have been experimenting with the 2L ice cream tub full of chillies we received on St Helena, and thus far the favourite has been a chilli, mango and syrup sauce. Some of the crew have taken to daring each other to take more and more chilli, and we all have lots of laughs and slightly less milk every day.
