Delivery day 3
Supper on the 25th was a bit more adventurous than canned food… Kerryn made potato salad and pan-fried chicken pieces. Rob decided it was time to open the ice-cream tub of chillies from St Helena, and made us a chilli sauce. This chilli sauce was not for the faint of heart… the chillies were jam-packed full of seeds, so the hot chicken was indeed rather hot, but very tasty nonetheless.
We have found making hot beverages with the tilt of the boat is quite an art, as we are currently close reaching. Thankfully we haven’t had cups go flying yet. Maybe one day one of us will get creative and develop gyroscopic mugs for yachting…
Speaking of tilting, the tilt of the boat makes sleeping a bit more challenging, but not impossible if you’re exhausted. In fact, I’m still amazed at some peoples’ ability to sleep just about anywhere.
Most of the crew have more or less found their sea legs, and even Sea Sick Stan is doing better. We’re all eating food again, and having a good time. We’re all adjusting to our tilted lives, and enjoying good wind, decent speed and chilled vibes.
Special thanks to Adrian for the new alternator, it is working like a charm. We can now run the inline pump and charge the batteries.
